We had a wonderful outing with my family that is still in town for Dustin's mission farewell. We went and saw the new movie Super 8, and we loved it! It was such a fun movie, like ET meets the Goonies.. except it's not for kids, a little suspenseful and kind of gory! On our way home from spending some time with everyone Joey and I were driving and he asked if I'd like to stop by the golf course by our house. The only catch was that we were going to SNEAK on!! I've never been on a golf course before, and I've definitely never snuck onto one! It was something completely new to me, but it was absolutely beautiful! So peaceful, and calm, I now can totally understand why Joey loves to spend a few hours a day on the golf course. It was so calm out there.. I love that Joey was willing to share that with me, plus I got to see some deer!! Possibly one of my favorite parts :) I watched as Joey played three holes and then we made our way back to the gate that we came in through, only to find the kid was closing it up and locking it for the evening! We were locked in! Thankfully Joey was able to get the kids attention and he saved us after a few minutes. We had a fun little adventure to cap off our wonderful day together :)
Today was the big day, ok, well not THE big day, but a pretty important step in Dustin's journey to his mission in Argentina. Yep, that is correct Dustin went through the temple today!! What a wonderful day it was, spent with family and friends. He was blessed to have our bishop and his sweet wife accompany him as well as a few other family friends. He went through at the Mt. Timpanogas temple, and it was an early day for him! He had to be there at 8:00, which trust me, he is not used to getting up that early! Joey and I showed up to support him and show our love as well as Josh and a couple of our cousins. It was so much fun seeing all of our family that lives out of town and a wonderful experience for Dustin. Plus as an added bonus we got to eat delicious food at Five guys.. who would have thought burgers would go so well with a day spent at the temple!
Its true, we're the biggest kids on the block! Thanks to our brand new car we are finally mobile again with out having to bum rides off of family members!! I don't think I ever realized how much I took having a car for granted until I didn't have one anymore. It is such a blessing that we were able to buy a car, and to do it all by ourselves! Hence the reason why we feel sooo big!! Now onto more important things... We need to find the perfect name for the car!! Time will tell...
