"Our" Bench

Joey and i have a bench..
its not really our bench..
but it is..

you see this bench is just down a cobblestone path that's starts at our door and ends on the cliff that we live on overlooking the ocean.
surrounded by bright green bushes it is a lovely old bench..
it used to be painted red but time and the ocean have stripped this bench mostly back to its natural wood. when joey and i found said bench we did what any normal person would do..
carved our initials into it and claimed it as our own.

so now it is our bench..

there is our cute little bench tucked away in those bushes

we claimed it, it's ours

Birthday Birthday!!

One year older and wiser too, Happy Birthday to you!!

57 years ago today my handsome, wonderful, supporting, pessimistic, loving father was born. this man has helped me through good times and bad. he has been my shoulder to cry on and go to man for a good laugh. he always has advice to give, even if you don't always ask for the advice being given. he puts up with a lot and asks for nothing in return. he is dedicated. he is forgiving.

i love this man more than i can say. i am so blessed to have him in my life, to be his daughter is an honor. i couldn't have picked a better father, and i am so glad that he picked me too..

i love you daddy, happy birthday! hopefully there will be many more to come..

We went to a show!

when joey and i started dating he introduced me to this musician, Donavon Frankenreiter. i fell in love with this guys type of music, his chill laid back lyrics and smooth voice.

a few weeks ago we had the opportunity to see him at The Depot in SLC. Joey loves this guy and I've grown quite fond of him so of course we jumped at the chance to see him play a show.

he was amazing live, put on a wonderful show, and sounded just like he does on his albums (which is always a plus!) and to top it off he was a funny guy!

a few things i learned about Donavon:
*he is tall, REALLY tall
*he is a surfer
*he designs clothes and joey owns some of his shirts
*he has awesome style
*joey thinks they are best friends

joey and i excited for the show

jammin out

with Donavon before the show.. see tall/sweet style :)

Joey's concert with friends

Joey likes to play guitar, and he does it really well... i mean really well!
he has a friend, jared, that he met on his lds mission in brazil who happens to sing pretty dang good. combine the two throw in some of jared's family (his dad and brother) and you have a pretty sweet little band. they have a connection to the timpview highschool through family and have been able to do a couple of shows being the opening act.

this last time they were able to open for Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband (who was unbleivable to watch) and they got to play i think five or six songs. they played great, joey was amazing, and everything went off without a hitch. its so much fun to see joey play, he really gets into it and you can see the pure joy that he gets as he plays. it is something that he truly loves to do and i am so blessed to have a husband who is so passionate about so many things :)

Princess London's 4th Birthday Party!

another year has come and gone and little London is now FOUR!! i still can not believe it! and this time last year Joey and i had just started dating haha but back to the princess..

Kerri decided that she wanted to do a princess party for London and we found the most adorable cricut cartridge that is just for princess parties!! it was PERFECT! we  made the invites and then Kerri gave me a budget and let me go to town on pretty much whatever i wanted to do for the party.. kinda dangerous GENIUS! i hit up wally world and found lots of cute things then went to town on the cricut making a birthday banner, crowns for the girls and all sorts of other treasures. all in all i stayed within my budget and was able to put together something pretty fun.
I hope you loved it princess london, i sure loved doing it for you!
